Terms of Use (EULA)

Last Updated: October 2026

By downloading, installing, or using the Miony mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms" or "EULA"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

⚠️ Important Medical & Physical Verification Notice

Miony is an informational assistant designed to help identify potential food ingredients and allergens. It is not a certified medical device and never replaces independent verification of physical packaging labels or professional medical advice.

1. End User License Agreement (EULA)

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes strictly in accordance with these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA (Licensed Application End User License Agreement).

2. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Miony provides optional premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions and lifetime purchases managed directly through Apple's App Store.

  • Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Management & Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your iOS Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Subscriptions.
  • Restore Purchases: You may restore your previously purchased entitlements at any time using the "Restore Purchases" button in the App settings.

3. Medical Disclaimer

Miony does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or health guarantees.

The App serves solely as a digital reader to assist in identifying common substances from ingredient lists and barcodes. It is not a substitute for clinical allergy tests or consultations with certified allergists and physicians. In the event of an allergic reaction or medical emergency, immediately contact your local emergency services (e.g. 911 or 112).

4. Duty to Verify Physical Packaging

Food manufacturers frequently reformulate recipes, change production lines, and alter allergen and cross-contamination statements without notice. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and barcode lookups depend on physical scanning conditions (such as lighting, camera resolution, and package curvature) and may occasionally yield incomplete results.

You must always physically inspect the product package and ingredient list prior to consuming any food item. The developers of Miony assume no legal liability for errors arising from manufacturer labeling modifications or OCR limitations.

5. Intellectual Property

All title, copyrights, trademarks, algorithms, user interface designs, and code comprising the App remain the exclusive intellectual property of the developer and are protected by applicable copyright and international treaty laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.
